Spring is full upon us and May brings the full flower moon as well as a smorgasbord of astronomical events including a total lunar eclipse and a blood moon.
May's flower moon is named after this beautiful period of springtime where flowers blossom spectacularly back to life. This full moon is also known as the Planting Moon and the Hare Moon depending on the culture.
The total lunar eclipse will bring the earth directly between the sun and the moon for a brief moment of alignment. This causes the moon to appear a reddish colour as it rises (hence the blood moon title) so make sure you take a peek outside this month on the evening of the 15th of May into the early hours of the 16th of May. For best results try to expose yourself to any bright, artificial lights before viewing to let your eyes adjust to the darkness.

CITRINE: As the sunshine returns this is the perfect crystal for channelling that sunshiney energy for a little extra energy boost! Also believed to attract good fortune and dispel any lingering negative energies.
Remember a full moon is an excellent time to cleanse all your crystals. Place them on a windowsill or in direct moonlight outside overnight so they can bathe and soak in the full flower moonlight energy. It's sure to be a powerful one as well with the combination of a blood and flower moon as well as the lunar eclipse!
