Holistic Healing:
Traditionally associated with new beginnings, steady growth and a calm connection to nature. In crystal lore it is also linked to abundance in the garden, to gentle recovery, and to slow, patient progress.

Metaphysical Traditions:
Regarded in tradition as a stone of growth and gradual change, long carried by gardeners and growers.

Cool Facts:
The green in moss agate is not moss at all but tiny mineral inclusions, usually chlorite or hornblende, that grew in fern-like patterns as the agate formed.
Agate forms in gas bubbles left in cooling lava, filling layer by layer with silica-rich water over millions of years.
Scotland is famous for its agates – the beaches and fields of Fife and Angus have been searched for "Scotch pebbles" for centuries.
