If you've ever said "I didn't know you were on!" this one's for you. Facebook doesn't show our lives to everyone who follows us, and lately it's been showing them to fewer people than ever. The good news is you can fix it yourself in about a minute.
When we go live
Every Thursday at 7pm, our regular live with Josephine
First Friday of the month at 5.30pm, the Jewellery live
Last Friday of the month at 5.30pm, the Crystal live
All on our Facebook page: facebook.com/crystalshopuk
Step 1: Go to our page and tap Following
Search The Crystal Shop on Facebook, or tap our name on any of our posts. Under our name you'll see a Following button. Tap it.
Step 2: Tick Favourites
A menu pops up. Tap Favourites. This tells Facebook you actually want to see us, so our posts and lives go near the top of your feed.
Step 3: Turn Live videos to All
This is the one most people haven't done, and it makes the biggest difference.
Tap Following again
Tap Notifications
Find Live videos and choose All
Now your phone buzzes the moment we go live, even if Facebook wouldn't have shown you the post.
Step 4: Tap Get reminder
Before our Friday lives we'll post an announcement with a Get reminder button. One tap and Facebook will tell you when we start. It works even if you haven't done the steps above.
Step 5: Join our WhatsApp alert group
This is the one that never fails. We send one message to the group just before every live, and that's all it's used for. No chat, no spam, just a heads up.
Why we're asking
We love that so many of you turn up every week, and we'd hate for you to miss out because of a setting. When a few hundred of you switch these on it also helps Facebook show our lives to more people, which keeps the whole crystal family together on a Thursday night.
