About Aquamarine  –

 

Aquamarine is the sea-blue variety of beryl, the same mineral family as emerald, with colours ranging from pale ice blue to deep ocean. Clear gem crystals and softer opaque tumbles both capture that fresh, watery colour.

 

It grows in granite pegmatites, where slowly cooling, beryllium-rich fluids allow large crystals to form; iron gives it the blue colour.
