Holistic Healing:
Traditionally associated with patience, steadiness and taking the long view. In crystal lore it is also linked to the bones and the skeleton, to the skin, and to slow, steady strength and longevity.

Metaphysical Traditions:
Regarded in tradition as a stone of ancestry and grounding, connecting us to the deep past.

Cool Facts:
Petrified wood is a fossil: over millions of years, silica-rich water replaced the wood cell by cell, keeping the grain and even the rings.
The colours come from trace metals – iron for reds, manganese for pinks and purples.
Some of the finest comes from Arizona's Petrified Forest, where the trees are 225 million years old.
