CINNABARITE

Derived from the Indian word for “Dragons Blood”. It stimulates dignity vitality and power. A good stone for business and fiancé. It produces and maintains wealth, also aids fertility.
 
Cool facts: As the most common source of mercury in nature, cinnabar has been mined for thousands of years, even as far back as the Neolithic Age. During the Roman Empire it was mined both as a pigment, and for its mercury content. 
The primary prehistoric use of the mineral was grinding it to create vermillion, and its earliest known use for this purpose is at the Neolithic site of Çatalhöyükin Turkey (7000-8000 BC), where wall paintings included cinnabar's vermillion! 
 
Caution: Cinnabar when oxidized produces methyl and dimethy mercury, two toxic compounds are toxic to humans. 
Cinnabar contains Mercury which can be poisonous/toxic! Wash hands after holding. Do not touch hands to eyes or mouth while holding. Do not use in elixirs.
