Holistic Healing:
Traditionally associated with warmth, a bright mood and calm nerves. In crystal lore it is also linked to the throat and to warmth, comfort and a sunny mood.

Metaphysical Traditions:
Worn for thousands of years as a protective amulet, and regarded in tradition as sunlight in solid form.

Cool Facts:
Amber is fossilised tree resin, not a mineral – most Baltic amber is around 44 million years old.
Rubbed on wool it becomes electrically charged; the Greek word for amber, elektron, gave us the word electricity.
Baltic amber contains succinic acid, and pieces with trapped insects are prized by scientists as well as collectors.
