Holistic Healing:
Traditionally associated with warmth, motivation and a lift in mood. In crystal lore it is also linked to creativity, to getting started again after a flat spell, and to bringing back a bit of brightness.

Metaphysical Traditions:
Regarded in tradition as an energising stone of the Sacral Chakra, said to stir creativity and confidence.

Cool Facts:
Calcite is doubly refractive – a clear piece laid over writing shows two images of every letter.
It fizzes on contact with weak acid, which is how geologists tell it from quartz out in the field.
Whole mountain ranges are built from calcite: limestone and marble are both made of it.
