Traditionally associated with love, compassion and self-acceptance, and with a gentle, calming energy. In crystal lore it is also linked to the heart and circulation, to the skin and complexion, and to the tender feelings of new parents and new love.

Metaphysical Traditions:
Aligned with the Heart Chakra and regarded in tradition as the stone for opening up to love of every kind, including kindness to yourself.

Cool Facts:
Rose quartz owes its soft pink to microscopic fibres of a mineral related to dumortierite, which is why the colour is cloudy rather than clear.
The Romans and Assyrians were carving rose quartz into beads as early as 800 BC.
Most of the world's rose quartz comes from Brazil, Madagascar and South Africa.
