About Conichalcite –
Conichalcite is a calcium-copper arsenate that forms bright grass-green to emerald-green crusts, sparkling druzes and little botryoidal bubbles on rock. It is a collector's mineral rather than a jewellery stone, loved for its intense, almost electric green.
It forms in the oxidised upper zones of copper deposits that also contain arsenic, typically as a coating on limonite or other host rock.

Cool Facts –
Conichalcite is a copper-calcium arsenate that forms grass-green crusts in the weathered zones of copper mines.
Its name comes from the Greek konis, powder, and chalkos, copper.
Fine specimens come from Mexico, Spain and Namibia – it contains arsenic, so it is a display piece only.
Its name joins the Greek words for 'powder' and 'copper', after its copper content and the powdery crusts it often forms.
