Cool Facts:
Mookaite forms in the Windalia Radiolarite, a rock made from the silica shells of tiny sea creatures that lived 120 million years ago.
It is found only near Mooka Creek in Western Australia – "mooka" means running waters in the local Aboriginal language.
Its colours range from cream through yellow and red to purple.
