Holistic Healing:

Traditionally associated with calm, clarity and a quiet mind. In crystal lore it is also linked to the spine and the skeleton, to clearing the aura and the home, and to peaceful, clear energy.

Metaphysical Traditions:

Regarded in tradition as a self-cleansing stone used to clear and charge other crystals.

Cool Facts:

Most "selenite" wands and towers are actually satin spar, the fibrous form of gypsum; true selenite forms clear glassy crystals.

Its name comes from Selene, the Greek moon goddess, for its soft glow.

The largest crystals on Earth are gypsum: the Cave of Crystals in Naica, Mexico, has beams 11 metres long.

     About Selenite & Satin Spar

Selenite and Satin Spar are both varieties within the gypsum crystal family and are often referred to interchangeably in the crystal trade. However, they are not technically the same stone.

True Selenite is rarer and typically appears clear or transparent. Satin Spar, on the other hand, is more opaque, fibrous in appearance, and far more commonly available. Most items such as bowls, wands, and decorative pieces are made from Satin Spar.

To avoid confusion for customers, we use the term Selenite/Satin Spar to describe the Satin Spar material widely sold as “Selenite.” When referring to genuine Selenite, we will clearly label it as True Selenite.
