About Trolleite  –

Trolleite is a rare aluminium phosphate that forms blue to blue-green masses, usually intergrown with quartz and lazulite. Polished pieces show soft sky-blue tones against white. It is an unusual stone for collectors.

It forms in metamorphosed aluminium-rich rocks, typically in phosphate-bearing quartz veins alongside lazulite and other phosphates.

Cool Facts  –

Trolleite is a rare stone and actually a combination of Quartz, Lazulite, Scorzalite, and occasionally Lepidolite, initially discovered in Sweden over a hundred years ago. More commonly now found in Brazil.

It was named in 1868 after the Swedish chemist Count Hans Gabriel Trolle-Wachtmeister, and was first found at the Westanå iron mine in southern Sweden.
