Amazonite
Stone of the Amazonians
Throat and Heart Chakras
Virgo
Holistic Healing:
Traditionally associated with creativity, courage and speaking your truth with calm. In crystal lore it is also linked to the throat and voice, to the nervous system, and to recovering after stress and exhaustion.
Metaphysical Traditions:
Aligned with the Throat Chakra and regarded in tradition as a soothing stone of honest communication.
Cool Facts:
Amazonite's blue-green comes from tiny amounts of lead and water in the feldspar.
Despite the name, it is not found in the Amazon – early explorers confused it with green stones from the river.
Amazonite beads were found in Tutankhamun's tomb, and it was carved into scarabs in ancient Egypt.
