Holistic Healing:
Traditionally associated with peace and calm, soothing a busy mind and supporting restful sleep and meditation. In crystal lore it is also linked to the head and mind – kept by the bed for peaceful sleep and used to ease a busy, overworked mind.

Metaphysical Traditions:
Aligned with the Third Eye Chakra and long regarded as a stone of intuition, clarity and spiritual protection.

Cool Facts:
Amethyst is quartz coloured purple by traces of iron and natural irradiation deep in the earth.
Its name comes from the Greek amethystos, meaning "not intoxicated" – the ancient Greeks believed it guarded against drunkenness.
Until large Brazilian deposits were found in the 19th century, amethyst was valued alongside ruby and emerald.
