About Amethyst  –

Amethyst is purple quartz, ranging from pale lilac to deep royal violet, and it is easily one of the best-loved crystals of all. Sparkling geodes, points and clusters make it a favourite for homes and collections alike.

It crystallises in cavities in volcanic rock and in hydrothermal veins; traces of iron combined with natural irradiation over time produce the purple colour.
