About Red Jasper  –

Red Jasper is an opaque, microcrystalline quartz coloured brick red by iron oxide. It is tough, polishes beautifully and has been carved and worn for thousands of years.

It forms when silica-rich fluids fill or replace sediments and volcanic rocks, trapping fine particles of hematite that give the deep red colour.
