About Thulite  –

 

Thulite is the pink, manganese-bearing variety of zoisite, often mottled with white calcite or quartz. Its rosy colour ranges from soft blush to deep raspberry. It is usually cut as cabochons, tumbles and small carvings.

 

It forms in metamorphic rocks and hydrothermal veins where manganese was available as zoisite crystallised.
