About Mangano Calcite –

Mangano Calcite is a pale pink to peach calcite coloured by manganese, often with white bands. Under ultraviolet light it glows a vivid pink or red, a real delight to see.

It forms in hydrothermal veins and limestone cavities, with manganese substituting for some of the calcium as it crystallises.

Cool Facts –

Mangano calcite is coloured pink by manganese, and glows a vivid pink-red under UV light.

Most comes from Peru and Bulgaria.

It is a Reiki favourite for its gentle, nurturing reputation.

Its striking fluorescence under ultraviolet light is caused by the same manganese that gives it its pink colour.
