About Green Tourmaline –

Green Tourmaline is the green variety of elbaite tourmaline, often found as long, striated crystals. Its shade ranges from pale mint to deep forest green.

It grows in granite pegmatites from fluids rich in boron and lithium.

Green tourmaline (verdelite) is coloured by iron and chromium.

Tourmaline crystals are pyroelectric and piezoelectric, producing a charge when heated or squeezed.
