Cool Facts:
Sunstone's glitter (aventurescence) comes from tiny flat inclusions of copper or hematite that catch the light.
Vikings are said to have used a "sunstone" to find the sun on overcast days – though that was probably Iceland spar, a calcite.
Oregon sunstone is unusual in containing pure copper, and is the state gemstone of Oregon.
