About Sodalite –
Sodalite is a royal-blue mineral streaked with white calcite and grey veins, usually sold as tumbled stones, spheres and carvings. It is lighter than it looks and has a soft, slightly greasy shine when polished. Its deep blue makes it one of the most popular stones in our shop.
It forms in sodium-rich, silica-poor igneous rocks such as nepheline syenites, and in some altered volcanic rocks.
