About Hawk Eye (Blue Tiger Eye) –

Hawk's Eye is the blue-grey version of tiger's eye, with a rippling silky sheen that moves as you turn it. Its colour comes from fibres of blue riebeckite (crocidolite) enclosed in quartz, and it is the same material that turns golden in tiger's eye when the iron oxidises.

It forms in banded ironstones where fine fibres of riebeckite and quartz grow side by side in cracking and resealing veins.
