Ouro Verde or Lemon Quartz
 
 Ouro Verde, Portuguese for “green gold,” this quartz material has a light yellow/green color similar to chrysoberyl. (Hence, its other name, “lemon quartz”). It is irradiated with Cobalt 60 (gamma) at a very low dose, which dissipates a soon as it goes in. It is then heated. This treatment enhances what the Earth Mother started. It makes for a very unique, rare and collectable gemstone.
